Everything You Need to Know About Our Tiki Boat Cruises

Cruisin’ Tikis Lake Conroe offers the best event cruises in Lake Conroe, TX. We want clients to understand all policies regarding our scheduled cruises, so we provide you with a list of answers to frequently asked questions. $200 an hour, or $35 per person. We prefer to have 6 on board (more fun), but we will take less. Some tours will be longer, or shorter. AND, we can do custom tours.

Our main boarding location is at Waterpoint Marina 15264 TX 105, Montgomery, TX 77356. Please park at Starbucks facing 105, away from the retail center, and walk down to the boat.

Our boats are BYOB so please feel free to bring your favorite food or beverage. We will have a large cooler filled with ice and bottled waters onboard. Our marina also has many places to order food from, or places for snacks available for purchase.  We do not provide any food or drinks.

No.  The U.S. Coast Guard regulations for our tiki boats are 6 people (children included), plus crew.  However, we do NOT have multiple boats at this time.  We suggest a 2-hour split cruise. 

Yes! When we have groups larger than 6 people, we do recommend a 2-hour cruise. We offer “swapping-out” some of your group from either Fajita Jacks, Conroe Lake House, or Papas on the Lake. (Leaving part of your group at one of these locations to hang out, drink, and relax, while the remaining group aboard the boat and goes out-splitting the cruise into two 1-hour increments) 

Yes! Only a couple people in your group? Check out our public charters starting at$52.50/per person.

Our tiki boats are not equipped with a restroom; therefore, we strongly encourage you to use the restroom at the Starbucks before coming aboard but the lake is also the perfect place!  Your captain will give everyone an opportunity to jump in the water.  Take a "leaky" before you "Tiki"!

Our tiki boat cruises between 4-6 mph and has safety rails around the perimeter of the boat. The boat is also equipped with 1 PFD (life jacket) for every passenger, along with all U.S. Coast Guard requirements. Children under the age of 12 are required to wear a life jacket, on any vessel under 26 feet by law in the state of Texas. We do have some aboard, but feel free to bring your own if you would like. If bringing a pet onboard they must have life vest.

Yes, there is a type 1 PFD for every passenger along with all Coast Guard requirements for the vessel, including a first aid kit.

Yes, our boats are equipped with safety railings around the perimeter of the tiki boat.

The tiki boat has a cruising speed of 4 – 5 mph, rides very smoothly, and is very stable.

We reserve the right to cancel any cruise, at any time, due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues. If you tour is canceled, your cruise will be offered a rebooking if available or you will be given a refund on the card you booked with (this excludes behavioral and alcohol-related cancellations). If you need to cancel your cruise, we require a 24-hour notice to receive a full refund.

We do operate in the rain as the tiki boats are covered. However, the captain can decide at any time to suspend or cancel a tour due to inclement, severe, or potentially hazardous weather or marine conditions, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Small craft advisories
  • If wind speeds reach 20 mph or gusts reach 25 – 30 mph, and/or waves are consistently 2 – 3 feet or higher, we reserve the right to suspend service until conditions improve.
  • When lightning is in the immediate area, we reserve the right to suspend service for 20 minutes from the last strike in the area.
  • Should an isolated, pop-up storm develop while underway, we reserve the right to return to our main dock or to a secure location at the captain’s discretion until the storm subsides.
  • If a storm does not subside while at a secure location and it is unsafe to return to the main dock, we reserve the right to assist and/or arrange alternative transportation to return the main dock.

Besides sitting back and relaxing with a cold drink in hand, we can pretty much accommodate anything you can imagine. From bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, weddings & family fun days…you name it and we will try to make it work.  Give us a call for special requests.

No. All ages are welcome but if under the age of 12 a Coast Guard-approved life jacket will need to be worn. If you have an infant, you will need to bring a life jacket.

Absolutely! We are pet-friendly, and dogs are allowed as long as you rent the tiki as a Private Charter.  Life jackets are definitely recommended when aboard boats.

Yes, we have a Bluetooth-capable Kicker 4 speaker system that can sync to your phone and choice of music.

Absolutely! It's best way to experience lake life. If you're looking to swim, hang out in the water and mingle, or play some catch we suggest the 3-hr Ayers Island Swim Cruise.

No! Unfortunately, we do not allow traditional cigarette, cigar smoking, or any vaping onboard. The tiki boats are made of high-quality wood and bamboo and powered by an outboard motor with a below-deck fuel tank, so your safety is most important!

We can do tours from 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or more! We can do a scheduled public tour or a private tour up to all day. Just ask.

Our captains have been vetted and trained. They maintain all U.S Coast Guard requirements. Our captains have been chosen because of their experience with boating, specific knowledge of the local area, and their personality to give you a fun cruise!

Our Captains do work for tips so gratuity is greatly appreciated. They are experienced, knowledgeable, and work hard to ensure your safety and make sure your tiki cruise is an amazing experience for our guests. We suggest a 18% – 20% for our captains. Venmo, Zelle and Cash App are accepted, or we can apply to the credit card used to book your cruise. Our goal is for our guests to have an awesome cruise with "Good times and Tan Lines!"

We here at Cruisin' Tikis Lake Conroe have been hard at work to reshape our policies to ensure safety or our crew and guests. We have aligned out cleaning procedures with the CDC requirements. We want our guests to feel comfortable knowing that we have taken precautions to keep them, their families, and their friends safe during these unpredicted times. *Our tikis will be cleaned and disinfected at the start of the day and will be wiped down and sanitized in between cruises. *Our captains will adhere to social distancing guidelines whenever possible. *Our guests or captains are not required to wear masks during their cruise. If you feel more comfortable wearing one, please do so. ***Hand sanitizer is readily available to all guests.
